From Stage to Page

For years, the Bible Women’s Project traveled to churches in 3 countries, bringing ancient stories to life through drama, music, and testimony.

After every performance, audience members asked: “Now what?”

This devotional is an answer.

Through reflection, storytelling, and modern connections, you’re invited to step into the same stories—this time in your daily life.

About the Book

What if the lives of the women in the Bible are not just ancient history, but invitations for you to reflect, connect, and discover your own story?

In In the Time of Journeys, Becky Malas—original cast member and former tour manager of The Bible Women’s Project—takes you on a devotional journey through the stories of women in Genesis. After every performance of the stage production, audiences would ask, “Now what?” This book is her heartfelt answer: your story matters, and these women’s stories can help you see it more clearly.

Through cultural and biblical insight, Becky brings each woman’s journey into focus—highlighting their courage, struggles, and humanity. Alongside these reflections, she shares pieces of her own testimony, reminding readers that Scripture is not distant, but deeply personal.

This devotional is designed to invite participation, not just reading. Each chapter includes:

  • Scriptural and cultural context to deepen understanding

  • Reflection questions that put you in the shoes of the women

  • Opportunities to share your own story in community or small groups

  • Fresh discoveries from passages you may have overlooked

Where will you find yourself in these stories?

"I could not put it down."

"I could not put it down.  Every woman that is brought out, stirs a different emotion...My personal favorite story was the Sarah and laughter part.  It brought out a lot of things I've never thought about before  and so that stuck with me!"
