This one-woman theatrical testimony weaves together stories of women in Scripture alongside my own journey of encountering God’s grace.  Drawing on my experience performing and touring with The Bible Women's Project, (an award-winning ensemble piece that has appeared at two international fringe festivals) as well as years of study and ministry, this work fuses a multitude of disciplines including music, visual art and storytelling into a multi-sensory experience that awakens both mind and spirit.

Filled with laughter, honesty and reflection, invites audiences to gather in community to hear the voices of women from both past and present.  Each performance will conclude with a talkback – an invitation for the audience to share and listen to one another’s stories and experiences, extending the performance into a time of communal reflection.

 

The vision of She Speaks, I Listen is to engage audiences in a unique way and remind them that these stories in Scripture, especially those long silenced are ignored, still speak powerfully into God’s redemptive story.  In giving voice to these women of Scripture, while being vulnerable and sharing my own experiences, this project invites all who participate to become better listeners to God and to one another.
